This air assist kit is for use with an external compressor.
If you're using the pre-installed air pump please see our other Air assist kit.
Just connect to air compressor regulator/air pipe to laser head and connect two wires and it's done, Super Simple.
Super simple to install; just two cables and air pipes, air assist can be turned on and off within Lightburn.
Includes everything you need including air pipe and cables.
You will need a compressor connected to a compressor regulator. We suggest you use a regulator with filter to avoid water getting into the air assist system. Silent compressors that don't require oil are also recommended.
Contents of kit:
- 1 x Quick fit connector - This connects to the output side of your compressors regulator. We recommend installing the regulator on the side of the machine and include a short pipe from the shut off valve to connect to the regulator. This short pipe is included within the 2 Metre's specified.
- 1 x Shut off valve
- 1 x Quick Fit connector - This connects to the inlet side of the Pneumatic Solenoid valve
- 1 x Pneumatic Solenoid valve.
- 1 x Flow adjuster valve - this connects to the normally open outlet of the Pneumatic valve
- 1 x Quick Fit T connector - this connects to the normally closed outlet of the pneumatic valve
- 2 metres of cable in two different colours (this connects from the solenoid to the controller)
- 2 metres of 4mm ID air pipe (this connects the solenoid to your compressor)
If you have specific requirements or need additional cables or air hose please contact us prior to ordering so we can make up the kit to your specifications.
The push fit air fittings accept a 6mm OD air pipe. Please ensure your existing air pipe from your laser head is a 6mm OD pipe.
2 metres of cable and air pipe is generally plenty for most machines.
Installation instructions:
- Connect Quick fit connector to output of Compressor Regulator
- Cut air pipe and connect short length from compressor regulator to the shut off valve inlet.
- Connect air pipe to other side of shut off valve and connect to the input of Solenoid valve.
- Connect your existing air pipe from laser head to outlet of solenoid valve
- Connect 2 wires from solenoid valve to the '+24v' and 'air/Wind' connections on your ruida controller.
- Enable Air assist in your machine settings within lightburn
